Nantwich Food Festival says Thank You to Major Sponsors
The Nantwich Food Festival operates as a not-for-profit endeavour, organised and run by a dedicated team of volunteers, for the sole benefit of the town. It is successful and growing every year, with over 40,000 visitors, 220 exhibitors, and £2m benefit to the town. It remains free to enter, including all music stages and three days of demonstrations by 4 celebrity and many local chefs.
How is this possible?
The secret comes from two sources; all the exhibitors pay to exhibit their products, and the Festival is blessed with generous sponsors, without whom the Festival would not take place.
Christine Farrell, Festival Chairman says “We have been very fortunate to have the support and backing from local businesses over the years. We are indebted to them all, and particularly Nantwich Town Council, the prime supporter of the Festival.”
Major local business, Mornflake will sponsor the Festival for the 11th year, selling their award-winning range of Cheshire-milled oats, muesli and granola from the Mornflake Pavilion on the Bowling Green.
Mornflake’s freshly made porridge is also available, along with artisan hand-made flapjacks and other oaty goodies from their Oatopia van in the town square. Their continued support is much appreciated by the Festival organisers.
Multi-award winning Cheerbrook farm shop will again host their marquee in the town square. Many of their local suppliers will be joining them, so think cheeses, wine, beer, soft drinks, baked goods and fresh meat.
In breaking news, Cheerbrook have moved entirely to Aberdeen Angus beef, reared locally at the foot of Bickerton Hill, with all meats and other products sourced locally. What’s more, Cheerbrook will also offer the chance for you to win a local food hamper as a competition prize via the Festival brochure.
Sponsorship Manager, Chris Willcocks states “Sponsors don’t need to be food companies, so we are delighted that Nantwich businesses Applewood Independent Financial Advisors, and Hall Smith Whittingham Solicitors will again co-host the marquee at Love Lane. Both have stalls within their marquee, enabling them to welcome visitors.
Applewood Independent have been providing independent financial advice to the people of Nantwich and the surrounding area since 1998, specialising in advice on investments, pensions and inheritance tax planning. They are truly independent financial advisers.
Hall Smith Whittingham is a progressive law firm with offices in Crewe and Nantwich that offers a wide variety of legal services to their clients. For extra peace of mind and assurance, the firm has been accredited with the Law Society’s Practice Management Standard Lexcel, which is a recognition of the excellence of client care that must be maintained.
Applewood Independent is also Headline Sponsor of the Nantwich Food Awards.for the second year.
The Festival organizers sincerely thank all sponsors for their continued backing.”
