Great Exhibitors booked for Nantwich Food Festival

Less than 3 months to go before the Nantwich Food Festival starts and almost all 220 exhibitor stalls are already booked!
2019 promises to be a bumper year: all the marquees are filled, and many of the ready-to-eat food stalls are already planning their menus for the Food Festival weekend 30th August to 1st September. Extra seating is planned so that visitors can sit and enjoy the food and entertainment.
There are many businesses from further afield, but focussing on the very local: in the Mornflake Pavilion at Bowling Green area, we have the renowned Bubbles Bar by Rodney Densem Wines. RDW will again have their huge stall near the entrance, with Nick Gent at the helm, serving their wonderful range of G&Ts and prosecco.
Still focusing locally, don’t miss Plastic Free Nantwich for non-plastic alternatives that are increasingly important to our daily lives, whilst also from Nantwich, the yummy Sweet Pea’s sell great gluten free and vegan cakes.
Just nearby, the ever-popular Bongo’s chilli stall will be in their usual spot, tempting us with all things chilli. Their goodies are handmade at their home in Cheshire by the delightful Debbie and Bongo himself aka Rock & Roll drummer, Manny Elias of Tears for Fears fame.
Over in the Love Lane area, the marquee sponsored jointly by Applewood Independent and Hall Smith Whittingham, will contain all manner of foods, drinks and gifts.
From a local business in Manley, Crewe, SA Pour over Sauce Concentrates, whose products help make home cooking both simple and restaurant quality, whilst from Haslington, the Great British Cheese Company’s cheeses are just so tasty.
For Game of Thrones fans, do call in to see Crewe village’s The Weston Biltong Company; if their biltong is good enough for GOT The Hound, then it’s good enough for us!
Our huge congratulations go to Little Somboon Kitchen, who recently won Best Street Food Award at the national Golden Chopsticks Awards 2019. They are located at the side of the Love Lane marquee.
Over in the town square, the Cheerbrook Marquee is full of the produce from their Farm Shop suppliers, so think Aberdeen Angus Beef, Cheerbrook homemade ready meals, baked goods, soft drinks, cheeses, and much more.
In between the main marquees will be a series of Chinese Hats – mini-marquees ideal for smaller companies, many of whom sell specialist products. Here you will find Haslington’s Food for Thought Bakery, and Nantwich company Wingers, with their great range of recycled silver products. Also from Nantwich is Plates & Moore with their cake stands and cheese platters.
How impressive is it that the above businesses are from our small town of Nantwich and the surrounding area.
Also in Love Lane area we must mention BroilKing, with their amazing BBQs- large enough to cook a whole roast chicken; the BBQ competition will be held at their stall on Sunday.
