Nantwich Food Festival is here!

For three exciting days, the lovely town of Nantwich is filled with food, drink, fun and entertainment.
The Nantwich Food Festival opens at 11am, Friday 30th August, and runs until 5pm Sunday 1st September. Festival weather looks to be good, but with plenty of cover in the marquees and town businesses, the odd shower doesn’t worry visitors.
Eagle eyed locals will have seen the car park closure signs that have been in place for some time at Love Lane and Bowling Green car parks. These car parks need to be closed from 6pm on Tuesday 27th August so that the marquees can be safely put in place in good time for the arrival of all the 200 + exhibitors.
This is why Festival organisers provide off-site parking and Park and Ride buses to ferry visitors safely to and from the town centre.
This year the Park and Ride car parks are located at Nantwich Town Football Club, Barony Park and Brine Leas School, and are available on Friday, Saturday and
Sunday during Festival opening hours. The service is free, although the charities
running each car park location will be collecting donations.
The Dysart car park is for disabled parking only over the Festival period so will remain closed to general parking throughout the Festival.
Festival brochures are produced by local business, TR Creative, seen below; brochures are free, and can be collected over the Festival weekend or in the town square on the Saturday before Festival weekend.
The Bowling Green live music stage headline sponsor is The Vine Inn, whilst on Love Lane, supporting music stage sponsors include Living Pure Natural and Barberus. Do listen out for the brand new Nantwich Food Festival jingle produced by Cheshire College South & West as part of their Festival support package.
With two Chef Demonstration Theatres showcasing celebrity and local chefs, great music, exciting street entertainment, competitions plus lovely food and drink, the 2019 Nantwich Food Festival is set to be a winner. Details of all events, entertainment and exhibitors can be found on the Festival website
If you are still thinking of volunteering this year, just contact us via the above website. Finally there is still time to vote in the Nantwich Food Awards: voting closes on September 2nd, so don’t delay.
