Call for festival volunteers
Nantwich Food Festival committee is holding an open evening for volunteers as it prepares to make this September’s event safe and enjoyable for everyone.
The food festival is staged in the heart of Nantwich town centre and is run entirely by volunteers. Last year, over 100 community-spirited people gave their time to make the annual event a fabulous success.
Each year the festival grows in popularity, with more stallholders, a wider range of events and attractions, plus visitor numbers now approaching 45,000 across the weekend. Many volunteer roles exist, from welcoming members of the public, issuing advice, handing out information leaflets, litter picking, keeping the car parks flowing and assisting with health and safety issues.
Volunteers also work closely with over 200 exhibitors that will line the bustling Nantwich streets. The popular chef demonstration marquees need to be safely coordinated, and supporting the music stages and children’s entertainers are also important roles.
Anyone interested in helping this year is invited to attend the Volunteer Open Evening at the Wickstead Arms in Nantwich on Monday 22 May, from 6.30pm until 8.30pm.
Drinks and snacks will be provided, and there is no obligation to sign up.
Meanwhile, if you would like information about volunteering, email email@example.com

As well as needing help over the Festival weekend itself, we’d love to hear from you if you’d like to help out throughout the year on the organising committee and its planning groups. There are opportunities to get involved with a range of activities, from organising Festival infrastructure to signing up Exhibitors, organising chef demos and music.
