Nantwich Shops support charities

Two of Nantwich’s quaintest shops are playing a big role in the festival while helping to raise cash for their chosen charities.

Ginger and Pickles tea shop on Mill Street is staging a Tea Festival taking visitors on a global tour of tea varieties from all over the world, with tastings and information on their origins.

The event is free and throughout the weekend, the business run by Andy Ozard and his family (pictured) will be collecting for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Over at Mr Simms sweet shop in Crown Mews, Ann-Marie Bailey and her son, Aiden (pictured) will be asking customers to Guess the Number of Sweets in the Jar, at 50p a go.

Proceeds will be split between Marie Curie, RNIB and KidsCan, charity supporting children with cancer.

Both shops have traditional appeal and we are glad to see them using the festival to not only promote themselves, but to raise cash for some very worthwhile causes.
