Nantwich is an attractive market town in South Cheshire with facilities that serve the needs of the surrounding rural area as well as the town itself. About 14,000 people live within the town council boundaries. In recent years the built up area has extended into adjacent parishes increasing the town’s population to about 17,000. The Town Council is made up of twelve Councillors, who were all elected in 2011. The Council meets monthly at Brookfield Hall, Shrewbridge Road, Nantwich, CW5 7AD. The public are welcome to attend and this site includes a calendar of meetings. In 2012 the Town Council took control of several assets previously run by Cheshire East Borough Council and it now has responsibility for Nantwich Civic Hall, the Market Hall, toilets and 4 allotment sites.
