Legal firm becomes marquee sponsor
20th June 2017

Nantwich boasts a diverse range of businesses, and this is reflected in the incredible support enjoyed by the Nantwich Food Festival. This year, we are delighted to welcome Hall Smith Whittingham Solicitors as one of the marquee sponsors.

The legal firm is no stranger to the festival and has been involved in some capacity over the last five years. It places great importance on being involved with organisations and other businesses across South Cheshire.

With offices in Nantwich and Crewe, they offer a range of expertise to clients. This includes Residential Conveyancing, Commercial Property, Dispute Resolution, Employment Law, Family Mediation, Wills, Trusts and Probate and more.

Hall Smith Whittingham invests in its staff, and believes in teamwork and supporting each other. That ethos is extended to the local community, with numerous fundraising events staged by the company’s offices.

This summer, sponsorship of the Dysart Marquee at the Nantwich Food Festival gives everyone at HSW the opportunity to engage with thousands of visitors who flock to our picturesque market town. Like the other sponsors, event organisers and volunteers, they will offer a welcoming smile to everyone who arrives to enjoy the special atmosphere generated by the festival.

The marquee will be located off Market Street, with exciting family exhibits and entertainment taking place across the weekend both under cover and on the nearby firm’s lawns.

With a focus on children and families, there are plans to stage dance and performance workshops in conjunction with local clubs and organisations, as well as offering face painting, cakes and drinks, plus other fun activities.

If you are looking for legal advice, visiting the Hall Smith Whittingham offices couldn’t be easier.

The Crewe team is based on the bustling Nantwich Road, less than half a mile from Crewe’s mainline railway station. There is plenty of on-street parking available alongside shops and cafes.

In Nantwich, the HSW office is located on Monks Lane near the town centre in a beautiful Georgian building which dates back to 1780.

Calling all lovely volunteers and people interested in helping us in 2018. On the 22nd March we are holding a friendly, drop-in open evening at the Bowling Green Pub, Monks Green, CW5 5DN from 19:30 onward.

You will be able to talk to other volunteers and find out which roles are available. We need people who can help us all year round and over the Festival weekend; maybe you only have a couple of hours to spare but we still need you. Nibbles and drinks will be available and lots of friendly faces to talk to.

Please come along. We all look forward to meeting you and making new friends. If you have any questions before please email and if you think you might be able to come along on the night it would be great if you can comment below. This will give us an idea for catering. With many thanks.

Sunday afternoon saw many of the volunteers and committee members of the Nantwich Food Festival gather together at the Olive Grove conference centre. They revisited the 2017 event and as a team discussed how they could learn from it and make the 2018 show even better for visitors, exhibitors and town centre businesses alike.

Director of the event John Coulter said "It was fantastic to see so many great people join us with some wonderful ideas and support for the Food Festival. There were some fantastic discussions and we can't wait to release details of these as the events are confirmed over the next few months"

Recently the management team was pleased to welcome Councillor Andrew Martin to the committee. Former Mayor Andrew is passionate about Nantwich and sharing the word about everying the town has to offer. "It is great to be part of something that brings the whole community together and attracts over 40,000 visitors to our streets. I am looking forward to seeing how the 2018 event will build upon the great work of previous years"

Andrew is pictured here with Nantwich Food Festival Chairman Christine Farrell and John Coulter.
