During the Nantwich Food Festival, Nantwich Market Traders will be opening the doors to the market and urging visitors to taste samples of the produce they sell.
Saturday is always a busy day for the market, but on Saturday 5th September, traders are keen to invite visitors in, new and old, with a tempting array of fresh local produce. Visitors will be able to sample cheese, fruit, homemade sausages, fish, even pigeon and for the little ones there may be a sweet or two to sample!
It’s not all about food though, around the market there will be leather demonstrations and free valuations on jewellery and, in the heart of the market the Tea Chest Café will be having a special offer on their afternoon teas.
Dating back to 1867 the market has always bustled with activity, has a great community feel and offers value for money. It truly is a hidden treasure with an array of fresh produce locally sourced, gifts and accessories, pictures and framing, antiques, toys, motor supplies, and greetings cards.
So support your local traders, take a moment to pop in say hello, browse the stalls and taste the treats on offer – you may be pleasantly surprised!
