Richard Fox is an award winning writer, cook book author and chef presenter, having won a prestigious British Guild award for food and beer writing. He was resident chef presenter on BBC1 Regional Look North. He was a regular chef on BBC 2′s Food Poker and has appeared on UKTV Food, Saturday Cooks on ITV, The Good Food Show on BBC Radio 4, to name but a few. Richard’s expertise in the world of food and drink, as well as his talents as an exuberant and entertaining demonstration chef and public speaker has made him a favourite personality for hosting and demonstrating at gourmet events around the world. He is also a consummate presenter and compere with interview credits including Jamie Oliver, Heston Blumenthal and Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall, to name but a few.
As well as being a beer and barbecue expert, renowned for cooking with beer as well as creating gourmet beer and food matches. Richard’s other great passion is that of reducing food waste and creating delicious meals in minutes for next-to-nothing. He tours the UK extensively performing as an ambassador for the Love Food Hate Waste campaign.
He has also worked in Australia as an ambassador for Oz Harvest, promoting their cause in redistribution of potentially waste food to charitable organisations. His cook book on the subject, entitled ‘How to be an Everyday Kitchen Magician’ was published by Green Books in 2012. He is currently working on his third book.
