 Nantwich goes Wild

The Festival is going BIG this year on wild and foraged food courtesy of celebrity forager Dave Watson. New for 2007 Dave will be running introduction to foraging courses for festival goers to join. As well as pointing out trees and plants that will bear fruit and nuts in the autumn, Dave will complete the wild food culinary experience by explaining how to create different cooking temperatures with a camp fire and using it as an oven.

Read more about Dave's plans for foraging in Nantwich.

Wild Food Workshops

On Mill Island every day (included in festival admission price)
Ever eaten dandelion leaves or nettles? Interested in scoffing wild berries and flowers? If you think that these may tickle your taste buds, you should visit our wild food workshop. We have demonstrations of wild food cookery and fire starting led by celebrity forager Dave Watson with foraged food tastings taking place at regular intervals each day.

Foraging Walks

Also join Dave on one of our foraging walks through the beautiful countryside of Nantwich Riverside - these depart from the wild food workshop on Mill Island at 3pm each day and are free of charge (included in festival admission price). Limited numbers, first come first served.
