CAMRA Nantwich Beer FestivalThe CAMRA Nantwich Beer Festival, one of the largest in Cheshire, opens at 5pm at Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday 28th September and will feature around 70 beers and ciders. Entry is completely free of charge to the daytime sessions on the Saturday and Sunday (before 5pm). (PDF 51kb) Entertainment is provided as follows:  | Friday evening : Treebeard – a popular beer festival band who play a range of folk, rock, pop & even country songs. |  | Saturday late afternoon/early evening : Scott D Thompson – an acoustic guitarist who was very popular at the festival last year. |  | Saturday evening : The Firkins – an excellent local band playing rock music (kindly sponsored by Woodlands Brewing Company).

The Beer Frontier – Tutored Beer TastingsNantwich Civic Hall Fri 28 Sep & Sat 29 Sep at 8pm. £8 including entry to the Beer Festival. Learn the art of beer appreciation by participating in a tutored beer tasting. Friday’s theme is “East Anglian Beers” and Saturday’s is “Beer Styles”. Real Ale Trail Runs throughout September For beer lovers who want to find the best ale in Nantwich and the surrounding area, this guided real ale trail around the local pubs and bars fits the bill. Pick up a real ale trail guide here (PDF 59kb) or at Nantwich Tourist Information Centre or in participating pubs. Collect 10 stickers from different pubs visited and enter our prize draw for 9 gallons of real ale from Woodlands Brewery. >The winner of the 1st prize in the Real Ale Trail is Gordon Jackson from Crewe. He wins a barrel of beer kindly donated by Woodlands Brewing Company. Other prizes kindly donated included a meal for two at the Cotton Arms in Wrenbury and a beer-related gift pack from the Wrenbury Sports and Social Club.
